Acceptable Use & AI Content Policy

1. Prohibited content (IT Rules 2021)

In line with Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you must not host, display, upload, generate, modify, publish, transmit, store, update or share any information that:

1. belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right;
2. is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another’s privacy including bodily privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or promoting enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence;
3. is harmful to children;
4. infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary rights;
5. deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of the message, or knowingly and intentionally communicates any misinformation or information which is patently false and untrue or misleading in nature;
6. impersonates another person;
7. threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or causes incitement to the commission of any cognisable offence, prevents investigation of any offence, or is insulting to other nations;
8. contains software virus or any other computer code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource;
9. is in the nature of an online game that is not verified as a permissible online game, or is advertisement or surrogate advertisement or promotion of an online game that is not a permissible online game; or
10. violates any law for the time being in force.

2. Real people, deepfakes and consent

• Do not create or share content that uses the face, body, voice or likeness of a real, identifiable person without their informed consent. Real actors may only be cast through our verified actor and consent flow, within the usage scope and period they accepted.
• Do not create deepfakes intended to deceive — for example fake statements, endorsements, news footage or evidence attributed to real people, public figures, officials or organisations.
• Do not create non-consensual intimate imagery, sexualised depictions of real people, or content that exposes someone’s private areas, nudity or sexual acts, including artificially morphed images.
• Do not use Face Swap AI, recast, voice or dubbing features to impersonate someone, harass, defraud or bypass identity checks.
• Do not upload photos or footage of other people to try to recreate them as characters.

3. Children and minors

Content that sexualises minors is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the authorities. Do not depict real minors without the verified consent of a parent or lawful guardian, and never in harmful, violent or exploitative situations. Fictional child characters must be portrayed responsibly.

4. Intellectual property

Only use scripts, stories, music, footage, characters, logos and brands that you own or are licensed to use. Do not attempt to reproduce copyrighted films, songs, characters or trademarks, or to strip watermarks and rights notices. We respond to valid infringement notices and may remove content and suspend repeat infringers.

5. Violence, hate, elections and misinformation

• Fictional stories may depict conflict and crime, but content must not glorify or provide instructions for real-world violence, terrorism, self-harm, weapons, drugs or other dangerous acts.
• No content that attacks or dehumanises people on the basis of religion, caste, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other protected characteristics, or that incites violence.
• No political deepfakes, fabricated campaign material, or content designed to mislead voters or interfere with elections; no health or financial misinformation presented as fact.

6. Abuse of the Service

• Do not attempt to bypass, disable or probe safety filters, content moderation, consent and verification checks, or YB Credit accounting, estimates and holds.
• Do not use prompts or uploads designed to extract system instructions, other users’ data, model weights or confidential information.
• Do not upload malware, run automated scraping, overload the Service, share accounts to evade limits, create multiple accounts for welcome credits, or resell access without permission.
• Do not use the Service for spam, phishing, fraud or any unlawful purpose.

7. Transparency when publishing

When you publish Outputs that could reasonably be mistaken for real events or real people, clearly disclose that they were created or altered with AI. Do not remove AI-generated labels or watermarks applied by the Service where they are required.

8. Reporting abuse

Report content or behaviour that violates this Policy — including Pitch Room links you have received — to reachus@yourbackers.org with the subject "Abuse report", a link or ID of the content and a short description. Complaints about content that exposes private areas, nudity, sexual acts or impersonation of a person are acted upon within 24 hours; other complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days.

9. Enforcement

We use automated systems and human review to detect violations. Depending on severity, we may block a generation, remove content, disable Pitch Rooms, revoke cast members, suspend or terminate Accounts, withhold or reverse credits, preserve evidence and report to law enforcement where required. Where appropriate we will tell you what action we took and how to appeal by replying to the notice or contacting our Grievance Officer.
